Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Project Manager / Specialist Planner Rail Construction for the planning and realisation of diverse railway infrastructure projects. You will take on the technical specialist planning of railway facilities, coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces, and accompany projects from the initial concept phase through to execution. As the central technical contact person, you will manage the planning development, specialist coordination, and project documentation and work closely with the involved specialist departments. Depending on experience, there is also the possibility to take on responsibility in overall project management and construction management.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and specialist design of railway facilities and railway infrastructure across various project phases

• Development of pre-studies, preliminary projects, construction projects, and execution plans

• Planning and coordination of railway technical components in the areas of track, trackbed, and civil engineering

• Assuming technical specialist responsibility and handling project-specific engineering and planning issues

• Management and quality assurance of planning development and technical documentation

• Coordination of interfaces with track, overhead line, signalling systems, cable systems, civil engineering, and other specialist departments

• Collaboration with railway companies, clients, authorities, specialist planners, and experts

• Monitoring and documentation of project progress, deadlines, and planning statuses

• Support of the overall project management in technical and organisational tasks

• Preparation of tender and submission documents for the realisation phase

• Accompanying execution including technical inspections and planning coordination

Qualifications:

• Degree as Certified Technician HF Construction Planning / Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Civil Engineering FH or comparable technical qualification

• Professional experience in the planning or design of rail construction or railway infrastructure projects

• Knowledge in track, trackbed, or rail-related civil engineering as well as understanding of relevant technical interfaces

• Knowledge of Swiss railway, SIA, and VSS regulations as well as relevant railway infrastructure requirements is an advantage

• Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary specialist planning and technical project documentation

• Confident use of industry-standard CAD and planning tools

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
