Help shape the future of education in Aarwangen with us.

The Aarwangen school comprises around 540 pupils, several school locations, a day school, as well as a dedicated team of staff.

To strengthen our leadership organisation, we are looking for a Head of Education.

Your tasks

• Leadership & coordination of the education sector
• Management of the heads of education specialist offices, the day school management, the education secretariat, and the patrol service
• Responsible for school route issues including pupil transport
• Management of school, organisational, and quality development processes
• Responsibility for budget, finances, and resource planning of the education sector
• Preparation of matters and decision-making bases for the management and the municipal council
• Collaboration with cantonal authorities, professional organisations, and other stakeholders
• Ensuring efficient structures and processes in the education sector

What you bring

• Educational training & professional experience in the education sector
• Leadership experience or willingness for corresponding further training
• Organisational skills as well as high social and communication competence
• Understanding of digitalisation & ICT topics in the education sector
• Networked and strategic thinking
