Head of Hardening Department (m/f/d)

In this responsible role, you will take on the professional and personnel management of the hardening department with around twelve employees. You are responsible for production and shift planning according to incoming orders, control the computerised systems and monitor the process engineering data and processes. In addition, you ensure quality through material testing and coordinate the maintenance of the large technical plant in close cooperation with the maintenance/repair department and external specialists. A particular focus is on the professional development of your employees and the targeted build-up of know-how within the teams. Additionally, you take on and lead projects within production and work closely with adjacent production areas. You have a degree in metallurgy, metallurgical engineering or a comparable technical field. Experienced practitioners with a corresponding technical education and solid professional experience in a

metal processing industrial company

are also welcome. Your specialist and practical experience as well as a broad general technical understanding are decisive. Experience in the hardening sector is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement. In addition to your technical competence, you bring leadership experience and know how to develop employees professionally. Analytical thinking, a pronounced hands-on mentality, teamwork and a confident, assertive manner also characterise you, as does experience with ERP systems, ideally proAlpha.
