Maintenance Mechanic Rail Vehicles
What awaits you:
- You repair, overhaul and maintain mechanical and pneumatic rail components such as control and driver brake valves, couplings and electric couplings, train and buffer devices, sliding steps as well as brake units
- You analyse and diagnose faults in mechanical, pneumatic and mechatronic components and independently carry out maintenance, overhaul and repair work on components of rail vehicles
- After overhaul or repair of the components, you test their function and quality on modern test benches
- You ensure functional checks, quality inspections according to specifications and complete documentation
- Through close teamwork, technical skill and proactive thinking, you contribute to smooth processes and improved workflows
What you bring with you:
- Vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma in the mechanical or mechatronic field, e.g. as a polymechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, agricultural or construction machinery mechanic
- Experience in maintenance, servicing, repair, overhaul, mechanics or pneumatics makes it easier for you to get started
- Knowledge of rail vehicles or railway technology is welcome but not a prerequisite.
- You enjoy practical work and have good technical understanding as well as manual dexterity
- You approach fault finding in a structured way and work precisely, reliably and with quality awareness; teamwork, conscientiousness and a positive work attitude characterise you
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, good German skills for teamwork, SAP knowledge as well as the ability to read and understand technical documentation are advantageous
