Scientific Staff Member for the "Contaminated Sites" Area

The Contaminated Sites section with its 16 employees is responsible for supporting the investigation, monitoring and remediation of contaminated sites. It ensures that contaminated sites with high urgency are remediated as quickly as possible, that the resulting contaminated construction waste is disposed of in accordance with the law, and that the costs are distributed to the polluters.

Your tasks

• Official support of investigations, remediation and construction projects on contaminated sites
• Management of complex enforcement cases
• Advising the affected landowners
• Technical assessment and support of necessary measures such as investigations and remediation
• Review of the measures

Your profile

You build on your training as a geologist, environmental scientist or environmental engineer and on your several years of professional experience in the contaminated sites sector. Supporting investigations and especially remediation projects as well as working in an interdisciplinary team are demanding and require skill and a structured approach. You have communicative flair and written eloquence for different stakeholders in a sensitive environment. You are resilient, work independently, enjoy complex issues and are open to finding solutions.
