Oncology and Haematology are innovative specialties and key elements of medical care in our network; we work in modern premises in the centre of Biel. The Clinic for Oncology and Haematology at the Biel Hospital Centre is committed and interdisciplinary in caring for our patients.

We work closely with the University Clinic for Haematology and Oncology at the Inselspital Bern and are a centre of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK).

Senior Physician Haematology 60 - 80%

Your tasks – our position

• Independent management of haematological outpatient clinics and therapies in the modern premises of the hospital centre at MEDIN Biel
• Active participation and moderation of interdisciplinary tumour boards
• Collaboration and maintenance of good relationships with referring physicians
• Involvement in the training of assistant doctors and nursing staff
• Commitment to continuous optimisation of collaboration and processes
• Consultative co-management of inpatients

Your skills – our requirements

• Specialist title in Haematology or equivalent with MEBEKO recognition, or near completion of specialist training
• Ability to run a haematological outpatient clinic
• Respectful, solution-oriented, integrative personality with interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and good communication skills
• Quality awareness with focus on safe, efficient and resource-conserving procedures
• Commitment to the further education and training of haematology juniors (doctors and nursing)
• Language proficiency in German or French at native level with knowledge of the other language
