About the job
Grasshopper Club Zürich (GC) operates one of the most traditional training centres in Swiss football with its youth performance centre. Since 2020, GC has been certified by the Swiss Football Association (SFV) as a "Performance Centre SFV/SFL" and is regularly reviewed. The NLZ covers the age groups U15 to U21 and aims to provide every player with an optimal environment for sporting and personal development.
We are looking for, by arrangement, a:
Physiotherapy Intern
Your main tasks are:
- Collaboration in the physiotherapeutic care of the youth teams (U15–U21) during training and matches
- Support in prevention and screening to reduce injury risks
- Assistance with diagnosis, treatment and therapy of acute and chronic complaints under professional guidance
- Support of rehabilitation and return-to-play processes after injuries, in coordination with athletic trainers and coaching staff
- Implementation of supportive measures such as taping, manual therapy, heat/cold therapy
- Presence and first aid readiness at training sessions, matches and training camps
- Close cooperation within the interdisciplinary team of physiotherapy, athletic & performance, coaching staff and medical team
Your profile:
- Advanced Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with upcoming practical placement, or completed Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy
- Strong interest in football and medical care in competitive or youth sports
- Initial practical experience in the sports sector is an advantage but not a requirement
- Independent, reliable and resilient personality with high self-motivation
- Team player, clear communication and professional demeanour towards young athletes
- Willingness to work irregular hours (evening training, weekend matches, training camps)
- Good knowledge of German; English skills are an advantage
- Driving licence category B is an advantage
