The waste incineration plant (WIP) and the district heating plant of Stadtwerk Winterthur ensure optimal and environmentally friendly waste utilisation around the clock. Engage as a shift supervisor and actively help to ensure this 7 x 24 hour operation. An exciting, varied and responsible range of tasks awaits you:- You ensure trouble-free operation, operate, monitor and maintain plant components and carry out inspection rounds to detect early defects.
- During your shift, you supervise two employees, whom you professionally guide and support.
- Optimal energy use of the waste resource, compliance with emission limit regulations and adherence to accident prevention regulations are your top priorities.
- You independently or in cooperation with internal specialists resolve occurring faults and implement improvement measures, repairs and renovations.
- You monitor and control the combustion process and the operation of our steam turbine for economical and ecological district heating and electricity production.
Your Profile
- Solid experience in operating process engineering plants
- Initial experience in staff management
- Proven practice in operating and monitoring steam boilers, industrial furnaces or large thermal plants
- Ideally, you have completed training as a heating plant operator with a federal certificate of competence or hold a comparable boiler attendant licence
