Apprenticeship as a Facility Maintenance Specialist for Sports Facilities
Your entry into the world of sports facilities starting summer 2026
During your three-year training, you will work where others enjoy their leisure time, for example at the beach pool, in the ice rink, or on the sports field. Together with your team, you will help ensure that sports and leisure facilities are clean, safe, and operational.
You are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, taking care of green areas and paths, checking the water quality in pools, or preparing the perfect ice for ice sports. Cleaning tasks, minor repairs, and the use of modern machines are also part of your daily routine. You often work outdoors, are physically active, and support as a lifeguard in supervising bathers. In doing so, you take responsibility for safety and quality.

The Wetzikon city administration offers you a solid training in a motivating and supportive environment. You will be personally accompanied by our training coordinator and benefit from the experience of well-trained practical instructors. Additionally, you can expect 27 vacation days per year, an annual apprentice excursion, a creative project week, and cost contributions for teaching materials and a notebook.
