Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 130,000Role:
The company is an internationally oriented non-profit organisation operating a global infrastructure for the unique and reliable identification of companies and other legal entities.
The working environment is strongly international and combines departments such as Finance, Data Management, Technology, Legal, Operations, Compliance, and global partner support. Employees collaborate with different countries, organisations, and disciplines and deal with challenging issues around data quality, digital identity, international standards, and financial market infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the integrity and compliance of financial processes and are responsible for operational accounting as well as the preparation of financial statements according to IFRS.
You independently coordinate the company’s tax declarations and tax obligations and act as the central contact person for external advisors and authorities.
You analyse tax risks and optimisation potentials while ensuring the correct treatment of VAT and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
You contribute your expertise in ad-hoc financial analyses and management projects and support the correct revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS.
You participate in audits, internal controls, and the further development of finance systems and contribute to the continuous professionalisation of the finance function.
Qualifications:
You bring several years of experience in accounting with at least six years of professional practice as well as solid knowledge in the tax area.
You have completed a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or have a comparable education with relevant further training, for example in taxation.
You are well versed in IFRS, Swiss accounting standards, and Swiss tax law and have practical experience with corporate taxes and VAT.
Your strength lies in an analytical, detail-oriented, and independent working style, combined with high reliability and punctuality.
You are confident in using ERP systems, Excel, and MS Office, communicate fluently in English, and impress with strong communication and teamwork skills.
German written and spoken flawlessly.
