About the job
"Thanks to these aids, I can stay at home longer"
Last Saturday, not only the sun was shining, but also the new Competence Centre for Ageing and Health in the Trogen station building, which opened its doors with an expanded range of services. In close cooperation, haus vorderdorf, the retirement and nursing home in Trogen, and Spitex now jointly offer their services for the elderly population. Haus vorderdorf offers open consultation hours every Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00. Haus vorderdorf is on site to provide assistance on topics such as technology and aids, hearing aids and cochlear implants, as well as dementia-related questions.
The successful collaboration with SimDec, the innovation centre of FH Ost, enables access to expert advice regarding aids for the elderly. Here you can take a virtual tour to see relevant innovations. This partnership is based on mutual benefit: at the aids regulars' table, new items are tested to provide manufacturers with valuable feedback and to optimise existing aids or develop new ones. The data for the aids regulars' table are regularly published in the village newspapers to actively involve the village population. After all, who could better assess which aids are needed in old age than those who use them daily?
Special thanks go to the Seniors' Council of Speicher and Trogen for their commitment to actively shaping the development and improvement of services in the villages.
The aim of the Competence Centre is to enable and support older people to live independently and with dignity in their chosen form of accommodation in old age, according to their possibilities, with the right aids and support.
