Purpose of the Role
The Production Team Coordinator Machining coordinates and controls the operational processes within the Machining production area to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. The role ensures the optimal use of employees, machines, and resources as well as the continuous improvement of processes, safety, and productivity within the area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Acting as deputy to the team leader during absences and ensuring smooth production operations
Coordinating and monitoring daily production processes in the milling area
Ensuring compliance with production targets regarding quality, costs, delivery reliability, and occupational safety
Planning and managing personnel deployment considering capacities and qualifications
Providing professional leadership, support, and development of employees within the area of responsibility
Monitoring and continuously optimising manufacturing processes and identifying improvement potentials
Ensuring compliance with work instructions, quality standards, safety regulations, and 5S guidelines
Analysing key figures and initiating and tracking appropriate improvement measures
Supporting the introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing technologies
Close collaboration with production planning, engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and other interface areas
Escalation management in case of production deviations and coordination of immediate and corrective actions
Qualifications
Willingness and availability to work in a 2-shift system
Very good German language skills, both spoken and written; basic English skills for collaboration in an international environment
Completed technical vocational training as a polymechanic EFZ or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in an industrial production environment, preferably in CNC milling
Experience in coordinating production teams or in a comparable leadership role
Sound knowledge of manufacturing and production processes in CNC milling
Understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement processes, and relevant production key figures
Good knowledge in occupational safety, quality, and process stability
Experience with ERP systems, preferably D365, as well as good Microsoft Office skills
Strong leadership and communication skills as well as high problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Structured, independent, and resilient working style as well as pronounced team and organisational skills
