Head of the IT, Geomatics and Population Service
To complete the existing team, we are currently looking for a
Head of the IT, Geomatics and Population Service
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the IT Service, the Geomatics Unit and the Population Office, ensuring a clear, efficient and solution-oriented organisation.
- Implement the policy defined by the Municipality and actively contribute to strategic reflections in your field.
- Ensure the security, reliability and availability of IT infrastructures and data.
- Provide close operational management by regularly monitoring the service's activities and providing support in complex technical or organisational situations.
- Maintain active technological watch and identify relevant developments to implement.
- Provide a transversal vision across all municipal services: understand needs, advise services, harmonise practices, standardise solutions and ensure overall coherence.
- Manage, support and develop teams, maintaining an active presence on the ground and close contact with the human issues of the service.
- Manage budgets, IT purchases, cross-functional projects and relationships with external providers.
- Advise political authorities, draft necessary reports and files, and represent the City with institutional and professional partners.
Profile sought:
- You have a higher education in IT or an equivalent background.
- You have proven experience in managing a service or multidisciplinary teams.
- You possess an overall vision and are able to anchor yourself in operational realities and are recognised for your closeness to the field and your ability to concretely monitor the service's activities.
- Your leadership is committed and embodied: you give meaning, inspire and create the conditions for teams to work effectively and calmly.
- You demonstrate a keen sense of organisation and know how to structure and manage multiple topics.
- You communicate clearly, both with technical teams and with political authorities or non-specialist partners.
- You are comfortable in a public environment, understanding its culture and requirements.
- You are available and able to remain calm in complex situations.
