Your Tasks
- Comprehensive care and support of patients with acute mental illnesses as well as severe cognitive and somatic impairments
- Assisting patients in undertaking activities of daily living, including personal hygiene
- Organising the daily routine and conducting groups (e.g. cooking group, external accompaniment) together with the patients
- Implementing the nursing and milieu therapeutic measures specified in the treatment plan using evidence-based methods
Your Profile
- Completed diploma recognised by the SRK as a Health Specialist
- Ideally experience in psychiatric nursing
- Interest and enjoyment in working with elderly people with somatic and psychiatric conditions
- Team spirit and willingness to collaborate interprofessionally
- Open and reflective attitude towards new challenges

About Us
The Geriatric Psychiatry department comprises 72 treatment places across three specialised wards. The acute wards G1 and G2 treat elderly people in psychiatric crisis situations with the aim of stabilisation and holistic support, taking into account psychological, somatic and social factors.
The service includes detailed diagnostics as well as psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and nursing interventions. Additionally, qualified withdrawal treatments and social psychiatric measures are used as needed.
After the acute phase, an internal transfer to ward G3 for psychotherapy and rehabilitation in old age can take place. The basis of treatment is close interprofessional collaboration within the department as well as with external institutions.
