Application Manager in Prepress & Workflow Systems (a) 100 %

About the job

• you are responsible for the cross-site support, further development and availability of our application and workflow solutions in the area of CtP and publishing
• you ensure stable production processes from data input to print output and support systems such as ABB WMS, NewsWay, Asura, Switch, Pixometry, PitStop as well as other checking and processing solutions
• you set up print jobs and customer workflows, automate processes and ensure reliable colour management as well as consistent quality control
• you develop and maintain backup strategies, emergency scenarios and technical documentation and support the operational readiness of servers, workstations and peripheral devices
• you lead or accompany optimisation and customer projects and take on the professional deputy role of the Head of CtP Publishing during absences

• you have solid experience in prepress, publishing environment or in supporting production-critical application and workflow systems
• you are familiar with PDF workflows, data verification, automation and colour management and ideally have already worked with systems such as NewsWay, ABB WMS, Asura, PitStop or comparable solutions
• you quickly grasp technical contexts, analyse faults in a structured manner and act solution-oriented even in time-critical situations
• you coordinate projects independently, make decisions responsibly and confidently bring together different internal and external stakeholders
• you have a strong service orientation, communicate clearly (in German and English) and enjoy sharing your knowledge in training and documentation
• you are willing to work across locations and provide on-call service. In this role, your main workplace can be in Aarau or St. Gallen
