About the job
What you can achieve
- You carry out specialised Parkinson therapies according to medical prescription and defined care concepts, particularly supporting pump therapies.
- You advise, train and empower patients and relatives in the safe handling of medications, pump systems and medical devices.
- You perform nursing assessments, evaluate therapy progress and patient situation, and initiate defined follow-up and escalation measures in case of risks.
- You take on tasks in Parkinson Care Management and coordinate care with prescribers and other involved professionals.
- You perform tube and entry site care as well as emergency interventions if needed, and participate in on-call and patient hotline services.
- You train external professionals and support patients with disease- and therapy-related changes in everyday life.
- You document fully and promptly in the electronic patient record and adhere to SOPs, quality standards and MediService guidelines.
- You contribute practical experience and improvement potential and actively help develop MediService Home Care.
What you bring with you
- You are a qualified nurse HF/FH or have an equivalent recognised qualification and at least four years of professional experience.
- You have experience with chronically ill or complex patients; experience in neurology and specialised therapies is an advantage.
- You act independently and confidently even in complex situations and convince with high advisory, training and communication skills.
- You work in a structured, responsible and patient-oriented manner and hold a category B driving licence.
- You are confident in using IT and electronic patient documentation and are willing to work on-call and emergency services.
- You have very good German skills as well as good French skills for telephone support and occasional assignments in the Romandy region.
