Learn museum work: You will gain a versatile insight into the museum and exhibition activities of the Kunstmuseum Basel | Contemporary and gather valuable experience in a committed team.

Support with exhibitions: The focus of the work is supporting the Head of Contemporary in collection care, scientific research, and the organisation of exhibitions.

Administrative tasks and data maintenance: You will take on administrative and organisational tasks, maintain artist dossiers, write exhibition labels, and respond to scientific enquiries. Careful and precise data entry and maintenance in the database also form part of your responsibilities.

Experience: Ideally, you have already gained some professional experience and possess good IT skills. You are proficient in using scientific museum software and working with digital image databases.

Personality: You are interested in contemporary art and working in a museum. Quick comprehension, independence, resilience, flexibility, and teamwork complete your profile.

Education: A completed university degree in art history (Master's) is a prerequisite for application.

Language: In addition to excellent German skills, you have very good foreign language skills in English and French.
