GROUPE ROTH is a leading provider in the fields of passive fire protection, technical insulation, and interior design. To strengthen our young and motivated team, we are looking, for 1 January 2027 or by agreement, for a

100% Project Controller

You are responsible for project controlling across the group and support our project and site managers in the economic management of their projects. Reporting to the head of finance and controlling, you work closely with operational managers.

Your workplace is located in Vaulruz, Satigny or Lausanne. You regularly travel to our sites in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland as well as, if necessary, to construction sites.

Your tasks are varied, analytical and decidedly future-oriented:

• Support our projects from taking over the mandate to its closure: verification of calculation bases, budgets and proper structuring of projects in the ERP. Analysis of costs, hours, progress of services, productivity and margins
• Organise regular meetings with project and site managers to verify the consistency of progress rates, remaining costs to be incurred and result forecasts, taking into account ongoing commitments and potential risks.
• Identify and analyse margin declines, cost overruns and billing risks early enough; develop appropriate measures, ensure follow-up and, if necessary, report to the next level
• Monitor the entry of services and hours, additional work and unbilled services; contribute to making services billable and removing obstacles to billing
• Prepare project evaluations and reports for monthly and annual closures, perform final cost calculations of completed projects and develop indicators, reports and processes integrated into the ERP, including user training

Your profile:

• Commercial or technical training supplemented by a specialisation in controlling, finance and accounting or business management, or equivalent higher education with a practical orientation
• Several years of experience in project controlling or a similar role within a project-based organisation. Experience in the construction or finishing sector is a major advantage.
• Excellent command of Excel, ERP systems and reporting tools. Ease in handling large volumes of data as well as improving data and report quality
• Strong knowledge of forecast and final cost calculation, cost accounting, monitoring of service progress, estimation of remaining costs and margin analysis. Good understanding of administrative and financial processes, from mandate initiation to final billing.
• Analytical, structured and rigorous working method, ability to identify causes of variances and to formulate concrete and relevant recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to defend analyses with confidence and objectivity and aptitude to collaborate constructively with project managers and executives.
• Very good knowledge of German and French to communicate effectively with teams from both language regions. Availability for regular travel within Switzerland.
