Syntegon Packaging Systems AG in Beringen (SH) is a company of the Syntegon Group and stands for a comprehensive portfolio of packaging solutions for the confectionery and food industry. Here, with more than 700 employees, we develop and produce innovative, customised packaging and handling systems for demanding high-performance applications.

In this exciting position, you are responsible for the realisation of our HMI applications for customer projects and support commissioning - from the offer to the successful project completion at the customer.

• You are responsible for the realisation of customer applications for the visualisations of packaging machines for new machines and modernisations. You also support our commissioning team in-house as well as occasionally at our customers worldwide.
• You place great value on a user-friendly HMI with a focus on usability & user experience.
• Maintaining and further developing our machine-specific application templates is an important part of your work to ensure a high quality of our visualisation applications.
• You support our sales team in preparing offers by evaluating customer specifications.
• Your experience in high-level programming languages helps you to adapt the HMI programmes to the needs of our customers and to develop tools for automated application creation.
• By actively participating in the continuous improvement of our work processes, you make an important contribution to ensuring projects are completed on time and with high quality.
• Internal knowledge transfer as well as the creation of documentation complete the job profile.

• You have a university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical fields. Alternatively, you have equivalent professional experience in software development of visualisation systems.
• Extensive experience in programming HMI / SCADA systems, e.g. Rockwell Factory-Talk, Copa-Data Zenon or WinCC.
• You have a flair for usability and user experience topics.
• You are familiar with control systems such as Rockwell or Beckhoff and the common interfaces to HMI systems.
• You are very familiar with programming languages such as C#, .NET; additional experience with web programming and/or Python is an advantage.
• Knowledge in configuration and administration of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, as well as in network technology and IT security.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database systems, data modelling as well as backup/restore, rights and security concepts.
• Practical experience in industrial and web protocols such as REST, OPC-UA and MQTT is helpful.
• You have a flair for automation solutions and special machine construction and enjoy working in a team but are also used to working independently and solution-oriented.
• Very good English skills and professional appearance are important for international customer contacts and occasional travel to customers.
