About the job
The position is located in the Vice-Rectorate for Studies and Teaching at the University of St.Gallen. We specifically support lecturers and study programmes, drive innovative teaching and learning solutions forward, and actively shape teaching innovation projects. We serve as a central support office for questions regarding curriculum and study programme development, didactic topics, and the technical teaching-learning infrastructure. Your tasks
- You are responsible for the operation and further development of the Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas and the integration of digital tools.
- You conduct professional clarifications, carry out pilot tests of new digital tools, and check their integration into the LMS.
- You advise, accompany, and train lecturers in the targeted use of the LMS and other digital tools to optimise teaching and learning processes.
- In close cooperation with IT and didactic experts, you continuously improve the user-friendliness and functionality of our digital learning environment.
Your profile
- You have a completed university degree, ideally in a field relevant to the position.
- You have experience in supporting a Learning Management System (Canvas, Moodle, OLAT, etc.).
- You have a good technical understanding, are proficient with digital teaching and learning tools, and use specialised software in the area of multimedia production for teaching.
- You communicate clearly, motivatingly, understandably, and appropriately for the audience, even in complex matters.
- You are enthusiastic about digital trends, actively follow them, and apply new tools with curiosity and a willingness to shape.
- You work independently, show a high degree of initiative and service orientation.
- Very good German and English skills complete your profile.
