Your Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and evaluate algorithms for spectral analysis
- Develop, maintain and extend signal processing pipelines and instrument automation procedures
- Analyze mass spectrometry measurement data: isotopic ratios, repeatability, uncertainties and instrument performance
- Contribute to collaborative software development: code reviews, unit and integration tests, CI/CD pipelines
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in an agile environment, operating close to the limits of physics
Your Profile
- A degree in Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related field
- Strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to critically evaluate experimental results
- Practical experience writing production-quality Python code
- Proficiency in Git and collaborative software development practices (code review, CI/CD)
- Structured, self-driven working style - proactive about surfacing open questions and next steps
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex technical problems as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Background in signal processing, analytical data pipelines, time-series analysis or spectroscopic data is a plus
- Fluent in English, German proficiency is a plus
Spacetek is headquartered in Gümligen (a suburb of Bern) and has a branch office in Taiwan, with a team of 40+ employees. This position is based at the headquarters in Gümligen (Bern). Start date to be agreed upon.
Introduction
Spacetek's technology has its origins in scientific space flight. We use this expertise to design, manufacture and distribute compact and robust time-of-flight mass spectrometers (TOF-MS) for industrial and space applications. Our focus is to close the gap in the current lack of process control of existing and future manufacturing technologies in the semiconductor industry.
Our products redefine the real-time analysis of chemical processes in physical processes. This massively improves process control and increases production yields. At the same time, waste and environmental impact are minimized. Our innovation is used in an international environment with business partners in Germany, Korea and Japan.
