Speech therapist in training at the Women-Mother-Child and Surgery Departments
The CHUV, in partnership with the Specialised Education and Training Support Service of the canton of Vaud (SESAF), is advertising a speech therapist in training position for the paediatric neurorehabilitation unit of the Women-Mother-Child Department (60%) and for the phoniatrics and speech therapy unit of the ENT-cervico-facial surgery service of the Surgery Department (40%).
This is a two-year training position allowing a speech therapist to specialise mainly in paediatric care and to obtain a concordat number.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and training.
The paediatric neurorehabilitation unit provides assessment and treatment services for paediatric feeding disorders (feeding skills and swallowing), as well as communication, speech and language disorders in children with neurological impairment, neurodevelopmental disorders, malformations or illnesses.
The phoniatrics unit cares for adult and child patients suffering from phonatory disorders (voice, articulation, rhinolalia, stuttering) and swallowing disorders.
This speech therapist in training position, supported by SESAF (Specialised Education and Training Support Service of the canton of Vaud), aims to train and enable speech therapists with a paediatric specialisation to establish themselves in the canton of Vaud and to obtain a concordat number according to the approved curriculum.
