Qualified French-speaking Reviewers in the Field of Electrical Installations (a)

For over 130 years, Electrosuisse has been the expert organisation for electrical engineering, energy and information technologies. We network knowledge and tackle the most ambitious technical challenges.

To ensure the technical quality of our publications in French, we are looking for qualified personnel to support us in technical proofreading projects.

We value personal and straightforward relationships.
At Electrosuisse, the informal "tu" is therefore standard. We also do not require cover letters. We will learn more about you during a personal interview.

Your Tasks You

• check the technical accuracy of French translations of specialised texts.
• verify the normative references and ensure they are used correctly and are up to date.
• ensure the uniformity of terminology and that it complies with industry usage.
• guarantee the correct use of Swiss technical and normative language.
• assess the comprehensibility and practical applicability of texts for electricians in French-speaking Switzerland.
• handle, depending on the projects, standards, recommendations, specialised publications, manuals, training documents or other knowledge products based on standards.
  
  
• Translations are organised by our external translation service provider. They coordinate data exchange, document processing and collaboration during technical proofreading.

Your Profile
You

• are a native French speaker.
• are currently working or have worked for many years in the field of electrical installation, inspection or design.
• have good knowledge of standards, especially the low-voltage installation standard NIBT.
• are familiar with Swiss normative language and the terminology of the Swiss electrical sector.
• have a federal diploma as an electrical installer or an equivalent professional qualification.
• work with diligence, reliability and autonomy.
• ideally have experience in standardisation, technical writing, initial and continuing training or revision of technical translations.
