As a Global Casting Process Definition & Improvement Specialist Professional at HITACHI ENERGY LTD, you will be responsible for defining, optimizing, and improving Casting processes and equipment across our global operations. This role focuses on driving efficiency, standardizing best practices, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.
How you'll make an impact:

Lead the development and documentation of standardized casting processes and equipment, work instructions, and best practices across various production sites globally.

Analyze existing casting processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Design and implement process and equipment improvements, including new technologies, automation solutions, and operational workflows, to optimize production output, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, quality, and production, to ensure seamless integration of new processes, equipment and technologies.Develop and deliver training programs for manufacturing personnel on new and improved processes and tools.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to casting processes, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.Conduct process audits and assessments to ensure compliance with defined standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Support the implementation of digital manufacturing initiatives and Industry 4.0 technologies.Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to casting processes.

Manage complex projects related to process and equipment improvement, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.
Your Background
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) or a related technical field. Master's degree is a plus.

Strong years of experience in casting process engineering, process improvement, or a similar role within a global manufacturing environment.

Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence&Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement tools.

Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant manufacturing software.Proficiency in process mapping, value stream mapping, and other process analysis techniques.

Excellent project management, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Ability to travel internationally as required to various manufacturing sites.

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
