About the job
Health and Social Assistants (AGS) accompany people of various ages who require support in their daily lives. They work in retirement and nursing homes, homes for people with disabilities, hospitals, clinics, or with home care services. They always work closely with medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Daily care and support in everyday life
- Helping people to dress and undress
- Providing personal care, washing, grooming and shaving, accompanying to the toilet
- Applying skin lotions, bandaging legs, putting on medical stockings and preparing other aids
- Laying down and repositioning bedridden people
- Observing changes and reporting to medical staff
- Supporting people to maintain a structured daily routine
- Co-organising activities and special events
- Assisting with the intake of meals and drinks
- Accompanying people at the end of life
- Performing simple administrative tasks on the computer, such as filling out forms
Requirements
