The Training

In the training to become a Laboratory Technician EFZ in the Field of Chemistry, you will learn all the basic techniques of the laboratory profession and how to handle chemicals safely. To deepen what you have learned, you will spend about a year in the in-house training laboratory.

In our departments, you will learn how to analyze food and consumer goods for their ingredients and additives, as well as for residues and contaminants. You will have access to various techniques, from the simplest to the highly complex analytical devices. You will certainly not lack variety.

The Requirements

Are you attending secondary school A? Do you have good grades in mathematics as well as in natural sciences and technology? Is writing in German not a problem for you, and do you understand an English text? Do you also have good observational skills, manual dexterity, and technical flair?

Since you will be working in different departments during your training, you should enjoy working in a team. It is important to adhere to the various guidelines and expectations and to commit to them. You should also be willing to constantly acquire new knowledge and apply it in practice.
