Job Description
The Maintenance and Project Engineer (m/f/d) possesses professional expertise in the EMSRT field and independently manages EMSRT projects, contributes technical competence to ongoing plant maintenance, and drives the continuous development of maintenance and repair processes. In close collaboration with the Maintenance Coordinator, they support the planning and coordination of maintenance activities, while operational execution is carried out by external partner companies.
Projects in the EMSRT area:
- Development, planning and independent management of projects throughout the entire project cycle
- Ensuring project execution within defined objectives regarding scope, costs, deadlines and occupational safety
- Coordination of internal and external resources as well as management of specialist companies and suppliers
- Application of appropriate engineering and project standards to comply with internal Syngenta guidelines and legal requirements
- Preparation of well-founded CAPEX requests and regular project reports
Maintenance & Repair EMSRT:
- Professional development of maintenance and repair processes in the EMSRT area
- Participation in defining the maintenance strategy and identifying critical spare parts
- Awarding contracts to external specialist companies for inspections, maintenance and repair work
- Support in analysing and resolving technical faults as well as developing sustainable solutions (Root Cause Analysis)
- Participation in improvement initiatives to increase plant availability and efficiency
Documentation & Procurement:
- Creation and maintenance of work instructions, test protocols and technical documentation in the EMSRT area
- Procurement of technical materials and services
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in an electrical or related technical field, supplemented by higher professional education (e.g. Technician HF, FH studies in Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology)
- Several years of experience in EMSRT engineering, preferably in the process or chemical industry
- Experience in managing and executing investment projects
- Experience in maintaining process engineering production plants
- High safety awareness and familiarity with safety-relevant regulations
- Independent, structured and reliable working style with a high sense of responsibility
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented approach to technical problems
- Teamwork skills and constructive collaboration with internal departments and external partners
- Project management competence: planning, controlling and monitoring projects according to cost, time and quality
- German: business fluent; English: basic knowledge advantageous
