Experienced Polishers - Les Breuleux (JU)
On behalf of a client active in precision mechanics, optics and the watchmaking industry, we are looking for several experienced polishers based in the Franches Montagnes. The position is set in a high-precision industrial environment, where the quality of finishes and adherence to aesthetic criteria are essential. The engaged person will work on high-value watch and jewellery components, requiring excellent mastery of movements and constant attention to detail. The work will be carried out within specialised workshops, in close collaboration with experienced teams, under a contract adapted to the sector and regional standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure meticulous preparation of watch cases and bracelets before polishing, respecting the procedures defined by the workshop and industry standards.
- Carry out the brightening of watch case and bracelet surfaces, guaranteeing a uniform finish in line with the client’s aesthetic requirements.
- Perform satin finishing on watch components and bracelets, applying appropriate techniques to achieve the expected surface appearance.
- Execute polishing of gold and steel jewellery, taking into account the material specifics and quality criteria related to jewellery.
- Conduct systematic visual inspection of finished pieces to detect any defects and verify compliance with internal quality standards.
- Consistently respect the quality criteria expected by the company, applying technical instructions and using tools appropriately.
Profile
- Professional training in watch or jewellery polishing, or equivalent experience in a similar environment.
- Proven experience in a polishing workshop, ideally within the watchmaking or precision jewellery industry.
- Very good manual dexterity and mastery of fine movements, suited to handling small parts.
- Ability to work precisely with gold, steel and other metals used in watchmaking and jewellery.
- Meticulous, rigorous and autonomous person, capable of meeting high quality standards.
- Versatility in preparation, brightening, satin finishing and polishing operations on various types of components.
- Good eye for detail and quality orientation, with constant concern for the conformity of produced pieces.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling easy integration into a team and effective collaboration.
