District Forester (m/f/d)
from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement- Managing and cultivating around 2,500 ha of forest area with a private forest share of about 80 percent
- Collaboration with two other foresters in the new Glatt-Thur forest district
- Advising small public and especially private forest owners
- Managing the state forest in your own area of responsibility (current Flawil forest district), including the Wilket area in the Neckertal, as well as leading the forestry group of the State Forest forestry operation at the Oberuzwil location
- Wood mobilisation and marketing in a forest district with an annual wood utilisation of more than 25,000 cubic metres
- Planning forest management and implementing nature conservation projects
- Public relations work
- Qualification as a federally certified forester HF or an equivalent education
- Business and entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- Strong communication skills and good negotiation skills
- Confident appearance and enjoyment in dealing with private forest owners
- Driving licence category B
- High degree of independence and personal responsibility
- Interesting, responsible, and varied activity at a sovereign, advisory, and partly operational level
- Diverse forest district with private and public forests in 11 political municipalities
- Workplace in the forester's office of the State Forest forestry operation in Oberuzwil
