To complete its team within the Municipal Police, the Municipality of Plan-les-Ouates is looking for:
PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER (M/F)
Permanent position at 50% - Grade 7
Your mission:
- Ensure compliance with road traffic legislation regarding parking on public roads;
- Issue fines to vehicles in violation;
- Control parking zones with permits and pay-and-display machines;
- Perform maintenance of technical devices dedicated to parking management;
- Carry out administrative tasks related to the role;
- Provide cover for school patrol officers when needed;
- Support municipal police officers in various tasks (preparation and supervision of events, management of public postings, etc.);
- Inform motorists and other road users about traffic measures taken during specific events, supporting law enforcement;
- Provide information to road and public space users, including: information on traffic difficulties or roadworks, advice on orientation or travel.
Your assets for this role:
- Swiss nationality or valid work permit;
- Clean criminal record and debt enforcement extract;
- Proficiency in spoken and written French;
- Category B driving licence;
- Service-oriented and good interpersonal skills;
- Good knowledge of the functioning of Swiss institutions;
- Ability to make decisions, self-control, and diplomacy;
- Rigour and respect for procedures;
- Good knowledge of traffic, road signs, laws, and regulations;
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
- Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends.
