Accounting Specialist – Prospective Team Leader (m/f/d) 80 - 100%
What awaits you:
At the headquarters in Basel, you will take on a central role in accounting and work closely with the CFO, line managers, and other service functions. You are actively involved in financial accounting (general and subsidiary ledger, reconciliations, payment transactions) and participate in VAT returns as well as tax matters. In addition, you support quarterly and annual financial statements and the consolidation of group companies including intercompany reconciliations as well as the preparation and support of external audits. Furthermore, you work on budget, forecast, and multi-year planning and contribute to ensuring and further developing process quality in accounting (ICS, standards, workflows). As a key user for the financial modules of our ERP system, you also support the further development of reporting, visualizations, as well as AI-supported accounting and reporting tools. Prospectively, after a planned transition phase, you will take on the professional and personnel leadership of the accounting team and contribute to the further development of the finance organization into a comprehensive business partner role.
What you bring:
- Completed tertiary education in finance and accounting or auditing (federal specialist certificate, FH/University or comparable qualification).
- Several years of experience in accounting, reporting, consolidation, or auditing.
- Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerQuery, and Power BI as well as ERP systems (Abacus is an advantage).
- Experience in project accounting and in the service environment is an advantage.
- Enjoyment of operational accounting combined with process and quality thinking.
- Affinity for automation or AI applications in finance.
- Ambition to take on leadership responsibility in the medium term.
- Structured, reliable, and implementation-strong personality.
- Very good German skills, French skills are an advantage.
