Case Manager for Criminal and Measures Enforcement 80 - 100%Justice Enforcement and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men from diverse professions. JuWe is primarily responsible for the enforcement of court sentences and the execution of pre-trial detention. For JuWe employees, preventing recidivism and the successful social reintegration of offenders is of particular importance.
The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD), as one of eight main departments of JuWe, act as the enforcement authority and provide probation assistance. Through the enforcement of criminal sanctions and the individualised support of offenders, they contribute to crime prevention and thus to societal safety. Important work goals are a life free of crime and social integration.
The Enforcement Area 3 specialises in the enforcement of custodial sentences, outpatient and inpatient measures, and detentions for offenders with a very high risk potential for committing serious violent and sexual offences.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an open-minded personality from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
Your field of activity
- You manage your cases from A to Z: planning, controlling and coordinating the enforcement of custodial sentences and measures (placement in enforcement institutions, examination of enforcement releases, design of transition management and release)
- You lead interdisciplinary planning meetings in the enforcement institutions and coordinate cooperation with work partners and authorities (e.g. correctional facilities, psychiatric clinics, forensic therapy, probation services, public prosecutor's office, social services, migration office)
- You make and issue enforcement-relevant decisions (e.g. examination of conditional releases) and are responsible for statements in appeal procedures and commissioning psychiatric assessments
- Within the framework of judicial follow-up procedures, you submit applications and participate in hearings
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in law
- Professional experience in criminal and measures enforcement or in criminal prosecution as well as knowledge of administrative law is an advantage
- You are interested in criminal law, forensics and crime prevention
- You enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration with various work partners as well as direct contact with offenders
- You convince with your high social competence, assertiveness and resilience
- You have a confident command of German, both spoken and written, as well as good IT user skills
- You are willing to undertake task-specific further training
- You have an impeccable reputation
