Description: The Wildnispark Zürich includes the first nationally recognized nature experience park Sihlwald and Langenberg as a scientifically managed zoo with native wildlife. Nature conservation, education, recreation, and research are the central concerns of the Wildnispark Zürich Foundation.
Area of responsibility: Landscape and gardening work

Activities: Assistance in park maintenance
- Enclosure maintenance (cleaning and care of vegetation; inspection and repair of fences)
- Path maintenance (cleaning and repairing paths)
- Maintenance of other facilities (supplementing railings and fences)
- Care of hedges, plantings, and young growth
Additionally, the following activities are possible:
- Agriculture (fodder collection, meadow care, tree care)
- Assistance in animal care (food preparation, feeding, enclosure cleaning)
- Assistance at visitor events
Necessary skills:
- Craft training
- Experience with animals
- Driving license category B
Desired skills: Good interaction with our visitors
Required course: Handling of the chainsaw
Introductory course: After 54 days of service, attendance at the training course “Environment and Nature Conservation” at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW is a prerequisite. The course attendance is organized by the civil service. The costs are covered by the federal government.
Minimum duration: 6 months
Working time model: Fixed working hours
Working hours: 42 hours/week, weekend assignments possible, no night work
