The Child and Adult Protection Authority KESB is there for people in need. Those who need help and support can count on KESB. No day is like the other with us. In the interdisciplinary team, we actively shape a safe future for vulnerable adults, families, children and young people.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Member KESB for the KESB Graubünden, North Bündner branch, from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Decision-making within the interdisciplinary adjudicative body and co-responsibility for the ordering and adjustment of child and adult protection measures
- Case management of assigned cases as well as drafting and processing related decisions
- Legal assessment of procedural and substantive legal issues and ensuring correct application of the law
- Conducting own investigations and issuing investigation assignments
- Personal hearings of vulnerable and other involved persons
- Advice and support for guardians
- Cooperation with municipalities and external specialist agencies and institutions
- Participation in the further development of the existing organisation and professional standards
What we expect from you
- Completion of a university degree in law, a higher education qualification or an equivalent qualification in social work, education, psychology or psychiatry
- Several years of professional experience in statutory social work, preferably in the child and adult protection area of a KESB or professional guardianship, a court or a youth welfare office
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Genuine enjoyment of teamwork
- High communication and social skills as well as empathy for people in difficult life situations
- Flexibility, high resilience and decisiveness even in difficult situations
- Precise and independent working style and strong sense of responsibility
- Very good verbal expression skills as well as good Office user knowledge
- Willingness to perform on-call duty
- Driving licence category B
