We are looking for a Chief Physician / Head Physician Emergency Department (a) 80-100% for the team immediately or by arrangement.

Task:
Overall responsibility for the medical management of the interdisciplinary emergency center. Strategic further development of emergency care, including expansion of interprofessional collaboration, process optimization, and quality assurance. Leadership, promotion, and development of the medical team (including senior and assistant physicians, students, nurse practitioners). Ensuring high-quality patient care in close cooperation with the internal clinical specialties and attending physicians. Responsibility for continuing education, supervision, and training according to SGNOR and SGAIM guidelines. Representation of the emergency center in internal committees, towards authorities, and external partners.
Requirements:
Specialist title in General Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Surgery, or a comparable discipline. Federal or MEBEKO-recognized medical diploma. Additional designation in Clinical Emergency Medicine (SGNOR) or alternative foreign specialization required. Additional training or solid experience in intensive care medicine is an advantage; at least 12 months of clinical activity in an SGI-recognized intensive care unit (mandatory requirement for medical management). Several years of clinical and leadership experience in emergency medicine. Certification in emergency sonography (SGUM) as well as ACLS/ATLS instructor certificates are advantageous. Strong leadership skills, social competence, and communication strength. Very good German or French skills, ideally bilingual.
