The Business Process Excellence Analyst drives process maturity within Julius Baer’s operational transformation agenda. Based in the Enterprise Architecture Office, you’ll design efficient, data-driven end-to-end processes and ensure data integrity through advanced analytics.
You’ll improve the quality, transparency, and efficiency of critical operations—supporting clear decision-making, stronger controls, and seamless business-technology integration during major changes like system upgrades or digitalisation.
Using strong analytical and process skills, you’ll challenge shortcomings, drive accountability, and proactively shape our global process framework—establishing methods, governance, and stakeholder alignment across regions.

IHRE AUFGABEN
Process Design & Documentation
- Develop clear, consistent, and scalable documentation of banking processes using structured methodologies such as BPMN 2.0
- Create integrated process maps that span front-, middle-, and back-office functions, ensuring end-to-end transparency across client lifecycle journeys
- Align all artefacts with internal governance standards, regulatory expectations (e.g., DORA, MiFID II, GDPR), and architectural blueprints provided by Enterprise Architecture
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, manual rework loops, handover delays, and redundant steps through direct observation, stakeholder interviews, and data-led discovery
- Apply continuous improvement principles to redesign workflows for higher accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Support prioritisation of improvement opportunities based on impact assessments
Process Data Quality Monitoring & Analysis
- Establish and govern a global process data quality framework, defining rules, metrics (e.g., completeness, timeliness, uniqueness), and thresholds for assessing modelled process fidelity
- Conduct regular health checks on process metadata and instance data to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, or decay in documentation quality
- Report findings via dashboards and executive summaries, highlighting root causes of deviation and recommending corrective actions
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business units, IT, Compliance and Risk, to understand challenges and co-develop sustainable solutions
- Lead workshops, facilitate process walkthroughs, conduct trainings and communicate changes effectively to diverse audiences
- Promote ownership of process assets among process owners globally and ensure sustained usage of standards and repositories
YOUR PROFILE
Competencies
- 7-10 years of experience in business process analysis, operational excellence, or process management within financial services, ideally private banking or wealth management
- Proficient in BPMN for modelling complex end-to-end processes and experienced in using ARIS for process documentation and governance
- Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and improving data quality (cleansing, validation, error logging); familiarity with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining) is a plus
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional process improvements, particularly during large-scale transformations, system implementations, or restructurings
- Skilled at influencing stakeholders across global regions (Switzerland, EMEA, APAC, Americas) without formal authority, and able to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike
Education & Skills
- Completed higher education in Computer Science, Business Engineering, or a related field (University, UAS, or equivalent)
- Certification in one or more of the following preferred: Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or PMI-PBA/PMP
- Advanced proficiency in ARIS—including ARIS Administration—is mandatory; experience developing custom reports and APG workflows is an advantage
- Practical knowledge of SQL for database queries and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Fluency in English required; strong German language skills (written and spoken) highly desired. Additional languages are an asset
- Customer-oriented mindset with proven ability to lead change, support teams through transitions, manage resistance, and drive adoption of optimized processes
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping pace with advancements in process engineering, analytics, and operational best practices
