Legal Officer
Legal Service, Health Office Graubünden | 70-80 % | Chur
The Health Office is a central and versatile department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. It enforces federal and cantonal legal provisions and thus makes a significant contribution to a high-quality, safe and sustainable healthcare provision in the canton. The office is divided into the specialist areas of Medical Services, Licensing & Quality, Health Promotion & Prevention, and Rescue Graubünden.
The Legal Service plays a central role in the supervision of persons and businesses in the healthcare sector. It advises and supports the office and its specialist areas in all legal matters, provides legal information on health law and legally accompanies projects of the Health Office. In addition, it participates in legislative projects and ordinance revisions and is responsible for drafting orders and administrative law contracts. You can expect a varied field of activity at the interface of law and health.
To strengthen our Legal Service, we are looking for an experienced legal professional with sound knowledge of the Swiss legal system to start immediately or by arrangement.
- Legal support for projects of the Health Office
- Participation in legislative and ordinance revisions as well as in the preparation of messages, consultations and government decisions
- Independent clarification and assessment of legal issues as well as advice to the specialist areas
- Drafting of orders and administrative law contracts
- Independent conduct of supervisory administrative and disciplinary proceedings, proceedings concerning release from professional secrecy, and offence proceedings
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-disciplinary exchange
- Completed studies in law (licentiate or MLaw)
- Several years of professional experience in public administration, judiciary or legal practice in Switzerland
- Independent, structured and careful working style as well as enjoyment of challenging legal issues
- Linguistic fluency and confident oral and written expression in German
- Interest in political processes and health policy issues
- Team spirit, flexibility and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
