The gibb Vocational School Bern is a cantonal vocational school of the Canton of Bern. We teach around 7,000 young people in more than 60 commercial-industrial professions and train about 1,000 professionals part-time in higher vocational education (HBB).

Tasks
As a vocational subject teacher, you are responsible for the school-based training in vocational knowledge for a class of apprentices training to become sanitary practitioners EBA. You teach adolescents and young adults who are in training according to the curriculum.
You design your lessons to be competence-oriented and with contemporary didactics. The use of new learning methods is natural to you and brings you joy.
The focus of your work as a teacher is always on the learners with their different characters and learning needs. You focus on the individual learning potential of the learners and are able to convey motivation for learning and for the profession of sanitary practitioner. Teamwork is important to you.
Requirements
Basic requirements:
- Vocational qualification as a sanitary installer EFZ and several years of professional experience
- Flexibility, patience and a good sense in dealing with adolescents and young adults
- Interest in professional and pedagogical further education
- Motivation to further develop the teaching of sanitary practitioners
- Digital skills
Ideally, you bring the following qualifications (or the willingness to acquire them):
- Professional or master craftsman examination Chief Fitter Sanitary
- Vocational pedagogical education of at least 300 learning hours (e.g. basic module A, EHB)
- Teaching experience in the EBA programme
