Assistant Physician in Training in Primary Pediatrics (100%)
Profile:
The Pediatric Institute of Italian Switzerland, with its main headquarters at the San Giovanni Hospital in Bellinzona, is the central hospital for pediatric care in Italian Switzerland and includes general pediatrics, specialized pediatrics, pediatric surgery, including a 2B neonatology unit and intermediate pediatric care.
The new collaborator will work within the primary pediatrics service, which takes care of all pediatric patients at the Locarno site of the Pediatric Institute of Italian Switzerland.
The person we are looking for has professional experience, initiative, and a collaborative spirit. They must be able to work in a team, have kind manners both with the team and with patients. They are capable of working in a structured and independent manner and have an interest in teaching and research.
They believe, as we do, in the importance of putting the patient and their family at the center of all our attention.
The role involves activities in outpatient and inpatient settings in the broad field of pediatrics, participation in the pediatric medical service, and teaching activities in collaboration with the Faculty of Biomedicine of the University of Italian Switzerland (USI).
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in medicine and surgery; for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition/registration by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg before starting the activity is mandatory.
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg before starting the activity. Good knowledge of another national language besides Italian (French, German) and possibly English is also desirable but not essential.
- At least one experience in a B or C training institute, preferably gained in Switzerland, is strongly preferred.
