The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organization effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and nearby hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested. Assistant Physicians in Training (Internal Medicine)
The Internal Medicine department of the Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli (locations in Bellinzona, Faido, and Acquarossa) is an integral part of the Cantonal Hospital Authority (www.eoc.ch).
It is recognized as a professional training center, category A, with a wide multidisciplinary case mix and involves collaborators not only in care but also in research and training.
The peripheral hospitals located in the Leventina valley (Faido) and Blenio valley (Acquarossa) complete the case profile in a dynamic of greater autonomy.
The medical team consists of 34 assistant physicians, 15 chief clinicians, and senior staff belonging to various disciplines.
Profile:
The person we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy, as well as motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration.
They believe, as we do, in the importance of putting the patient and their family at the center of all our attention.
Necessary requirements:
- Medical degree (Swiss title or foreign title recognized by Mebeko). For doctors who obtained their degree in Italy, as for others, submission of the diploma to the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and registration in MedReg before starting the activity is required; even if provisionally, given the qualifying degree, automatic recognition is not possible.
- Experience in a training institution B or C, preferably gained in Switzerland in internal medicine, or adequate clinical experience developed in other countries.
- Good knowledge of the Italian language (B2) and if possible knowledge of a second national language (German and/or French) and English. Language skills must also be registered in MedReg.
