About the job
Intensive 1:1 support in the school setting – no night or weekend shifts
Do you want to work intensively with a child or adolescent, rather than mainly organising daily life in a large group? Are you looking for a pedagogically demanding role with regular working hours and plenty of free time during school holidays?
Then Unterricht Plus could be just the right fit for you.
Horbach School is a special school recognised by the Canton of Zug, focusing on behavioural difficulties. Around 70 children and adolescents are individually supported and taught with us.
For our Unterricht Plus programme, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a
Social Pedagogue HF/FH or Care Specialist (FABE) 60–80 %
with experience in supporting children and adolescents.
What to expect
1:1 instead of group routine
You will support a child or adolescent intensively and individually – in lessons and in the social-pedagogical daily routine.
School instead of shift work
You work within the school day framework. No night or weekend shifts and no shift work.
Lots of free time during school holidays
Our annual working time model is based on the school calendar. You work mainly during school terms and have longer, well-planned rest periods during school breaks.
A varied role
You combine social-pedagogical support with educational promotion. You structure daily life, design learning and support sessions, accompany integration into the main class, and support the child in challenging situations.
Close collaboration
You work closely with special needs education, therapies, parents, and other professionals, actively contributing your professional perspective.
Scope for creativity
Unterricht Plus is a specialised programme with small structures, short distances, and room for individual solutions.
What you bring
- Qualification as a Social Pedagogue HF/FH or Care Specialist (FABE)
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Ideally experience with behavioural difficulties, ADHD, ASD, or similar challenges
- Enjoyment of intensive relationship work and individual support
- Confidence in handling challenging situations and crises
- A clear, appreciative, and resource-oriented attitude
- Independent, structured, and reflective working style
- Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team
We value not only your qualifications but especially your experience, attitude, and ability to build sustainable relationships even in challenging situations.
What makes this position special
1 child. 1:1 support. 1 committed professional team.
You have time to truly engage with a child or adolescent, witness their development, and make progress together.
At the same time, you benefit from a school-based working model without night or weekend shifts and longer free periods during school holidays.
Interested? We look forward to meeting you.
