IHRE AUFGABEN

As a Data Integration Engineer at Julius Baer, your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and maintaining interfaces between various systems, as well as ensuring seamless data exchange and transformation. This includes mostly own developed applications (Java, .NET, VBA, HCL)

Define clear requirements and specifications for data exchange, choose suitable communication protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, sFTP, AWA Automic Automation and Streaming) and data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV), ensures that data security and encryption measures are in place

Identify the source and target systems, as well as the data to be extracted, design efficient data transformation rules to ensure data consistency and quality, select a suitable ETL tool (e.g., Informatica IDMC, DataIKU, SSIS) and develop a robust loading process

Create detailed data maps to ensure accurate data conversion between systems, implement data cleansing and normalization techniques to improve data quality

Implement logging and monitoring to track data flow, errors, and performance metrics
YOUR PROFILE

Programming skills: proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or SQL

Data integration tools: experience with ETL tools like Informatica IDMC, DataIKU
-
API design and development: knowledge of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and API management platforms

Data modelling and architecture: understanding of data modelling concepts, data warehousing, and data governance
-
Database management: familiarity with database management systems like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL

Cloud computing: knowledge of cloud-based services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
-
Data security: understanding of data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanism
Education and skills

>5 years experience in a similar role

Strong IT and Application Management background
