The Department of General Internal Medicine (DAIM) is a clinical centre of excellence with three locations in Bern (Beau-Site Clinic, Salem Hospital, Permanence Clinic). It covers the entire spectrum of General Internal Medicine and interdisciplinary clinical emergency medicine.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced assistant physician with advanced training and an interest in taking on extended professional responsibility. If suitable, we offer an attractive development prospect to become a deputy senior physician.

YOUR TASKS

• Professional support and guidance of junior assistant physicians in clinical daily routine
• Interdisciplinary treatment of patients from various specialties in the emergency departments
• Care of inpatients in the field of General Internal Medicine – across all three Hirslanden clinics in Bern
• Treatment of complex and system-wide disease patterns
• Care of surgical patients with relevant internal comorbidities
• Close collaboration with the treating specialist team to ensure comprehensive and competent treatment

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed medical studies with corresponding professional practice licence or MEBEKO recognition
• You are at least in your 3rd or 4th year of further training in General Internal Medicine or a related discipline
• Clinical experience in inpatient care and/or emergency medicine
• Interest in long-term development within DAIM with a prospect of a role as deputy senior physician
• High social competence, teamwork skills, and sense of responsibility
• Enjoyment in professionally supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
