Scientific Archivist

The State Archive of Graubünden is responsible for preserving and passing on the historical tradition of the canton and makes its collections available to research and the interested public. In the coming years, the recording and processing of the Rhaetian Railway archive are planned.
For the State Archive, we are looking for a scientific archivist starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Manages the archives of the Rhaetian Railway and related documentation and is responsible for all central processes related to archiving in this area.
- Strengthens the cataloging/digitization team and independently carries out projects in this area.
- Participates in the public relations activities of the State Archive and provides advice to users and within the framework of research projects.
What we expect from you
- You have a professional university degree in Information Sciences, a degree in history, or equivalent training, as well as good knowledge of work processes in the archiving sector.
- You work result-oriented, efficiently, and precisely.
- You have experience in project management and communicate convincingly and clearly.
- You have strong social skills and enjoy working in a team.
- Good IT skills as well as knowledge of the Canton of Graubünden, its languages, and its history, especially railway history, are an advantage.
