Apprenticeship Cook EFZ - Training Start 2027

What you can achieve:

• You will learn the preparation of hot and cold dishes as well as desserts
• You will understand how the entire process in the kitchen works from ordering to plating
• We support you in developing your knowledge regarding the proper handling of ingredients, spices, food, beverages as well as the relevant hygiene regulations
• You will present all dishes appetisingly
• Besides cooking in daily operations, you will also be involved in banquets or events
• You will learn about the needs for meals for home care services and a day school and how to prepare them accordingly

What you bring with you:

• Completed secondary school
• Depending on the duty roster, you may start as early as 6:00 am, so you should have good public transport connections or the appropriate mobility
• You are reliable, responsible, and hygiene-conscious
• During your training, you show interest and initiative
• You are a team player
• You demonstrate a strong interest in handling and preparing food during your training period
• You have the ability to think holistically and recognise the connections between your actions and possible consequences
• You are physically and mentally resilient, as you will mostly work standing up
