Job Description
The University of Geneva Housing Office (BLOG) is the unit responsible for managing university accommodation intended for students and doctoral candidates (800 beds). The Property Manager plays a key role in the administration and smooth operation of university housing. They ensure transparent and fair management, oversee rental management, technical supervision of the buildings, as well as administrative and relational follow-up with residents and owners to continuously improve the service.
The objectives of the position are:
- Rental and administrative management
- Technical management
- Management of relationships with tenants and owners
Title and Required Skills
Basic education and possible additional training:
- Commercial diploma – Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee.
- Immobilbase certificate or equivalent training required.
- 5 years of professional experience in property management
Professional experience:
- At least five years of autonomous administrative activity, preferably in real estate or tourism.
- Intercultural relationship skills.
Specific knowledge useful for the position:
- Excellent command of French writing and spelling.
- English level B2
- Initiative and autonomy.
- Conflict management and handling aggressive behaviour
- Flexibility, rigour, responsiveness and availability.
- Good prioritisation and stress management.
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality.
- Ease in human contacts (negotiations, interviews with property management and other interlocutors).
- Computer skills: Quorum software and related IT tools (Oracle, switch.edu, etc.) as well as common office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
