Job Description
Job Purpose / Reason for the position:
- The railway operations agent contributes to the smooth functioning of the rail activity (2-team shift) in order to achieve operational objectives according to the daily program, in compliance with HSEQ rules, and he/she must ensure the movements of operations and the management of wagons according to the site's needs.
Responsibilities
- Checks the vehicle (locomotive or rail/road vehicle) at the start of the shift
- Manages the convoys according to the PCT regulations of the Federal Office of Transport (labeling, securing wagons, etc.)
- Contributes to keeping the railway infrastructure and rolling stock clean and in good condition
- Reports any events and anomalies observed on the vehicles and the railway network
- Works closely with production operators for the placement and removal of wagons on the platforms/pits
Qualifications
- Ai40 license required, A40 license an asset
- Apprenticeship in a technical field or equivalent, ideally an apprenticeship as a railway operations agent
- Knowledge of computer tools (Microsoft Office)
- Fluent French
