Apprenticeship as an IT Specialist EFZ Platform Development

Currently, around 300 apprentices are completing their training with us in 30 different professions, and we invite you to become part of this success story. Currently, around 70 young people are in ICT apprenticeships.
Training positions for IT specialists are available, for example, at the cantonal police, the Office of Information Technology, and the Office for Secondary and Vocational Education. A 24/7 functioning ICT infrastructure is indispensable in today's working world. The internal IT departments with their employees and trainees are responsible for smooth operation.

The Apprenticeship
In the 4-year apprenticeship as a platform developer, you will learn how server systems are built, networked, configured, and operated. In collaboration with customers, you will implement ICT projects. An important part of your work also involves the security and protection of information and data. You take care of the security and availability of systems and services as well as the performance of the network. In the first year of apprenticeship, you attend the basic training year and fill your competence backpack with all basic skills. In inter-company courses, projects, and events, you can expand and deepen your professional, methodological, social, and personal skills.
The Requirements
For the apprenticeship as an IT specialist in platform development, we are looking for students from secondary school A with good grades in mathematics, German, and English, technical flair, and a strong interest in IT. Furthermore, analytical and logical-abstract thinking skills as well as a quick grasp are strengths of yours. Your social skills are also very important to us, as you will work a lot in teams and have direct customer contact.
