The State Chancellery offers a stimulating working environment at the heart of the cantonal government’s activities and throughout the entire cantonal administration. It manages the Secretariat of the State Council, organises its events and is responsible for public information, coordination of external relations and relations with the Grand Council. It ensures the consistency and quality of Fribourg legislation. It organises elections and referendums and takes care of official publications, the state archive, certifications, printed matter and internal mail.

Your tasks
You ensure the quality of the official German-language documents and texts of the cantonal administration, in particular:

you ensure translations from French into German for the State Council, the State Chancellery and the Grand Council and check and correct them

you ensure the consistency of the two language versions of official texts

you revise the enactment texts and activity reports

you contribute to terminology work
Desired profile
- University education with a Master’s degree in translation
- several years of professional experience, preferably in the cantonal administration
- editorial skillfulness in the German language
- proficiency in common IT tools and strong interest in new technologies (including AI)
- service orientation, attention to detail and initiative
- discretion, reliability and sociability
- flexibility and ability to work innovatively
- perfect command of the German language with very good knowledge of French
