Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as BIM Manager / BIM Coordinator Building Services Engineering for the development and implementation of digital planning processes in an innovative engineering and planning environment for energy and building services engineering. You will take over the BIM coordination of demanding HVACSE projects, develop company-wide modelling standards and ensure the quality and consistency of digital building models. You will work intensively with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and BIM collaboration platforms, coordinate interdisciplinary specialist planner teams and support the creation of model-based calculation bases. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and providing professional support to internal BIM users and drive the digitalisation and standardisation of building services planning forward.
Responsibilities:
BIM Management Building Services Engineering: Professional support and coordination of BIM projects in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, sanitation and electrical engineering
BIM Standards and Guidelines: Creation, maintenance and further development of BIM guidelines, modelling standards, templates and digital planning processes
Revit Modelling: Creation, editing and quality assurance of building services 3D specialist models with Autodesk Revit MEP
Model-based Calculation: Development and maintenance of Revit-based quantity and calculation models as well as evaluation of component information for cost estimates
BIM Coordination: Organisation and leadership of interdisciplinary BIM coordination meetings with architects, specialist planners and other project participants
Model Checking and Clash Detection: Review of specialist and coordination models regarding model quality, data structure, clash freedom and compliance with defined BIM requirements
Open BIM and IFC: Coordination of model-based data exchange via IFC interfaces and ensuring structured collaboration between different planning systems
BIM Project Execution: Support in the creation and implementation of BIM execution plans (BEP) as well as project-specific modelling and information requirements
Digital Planning Management: Optimisation of CAD/BIM workflows, data management, model versioning and digital interfaces between specialist disciplines
BIM Training and Revit Support: Professional support, coaching and training of internal project teams in Autodesk Revit, BIM methodology and modelling standards
Quality Assurance and Standards: Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, ISO 19650 and BIM standards as well as conducting systematic model checks
BIM Professional Development: Conducting internal specialist presentations, workshops and training sessions as well as contributing to the strategic further development of digital planning methods
Qualifications:
Education: Completed studies as building services engineer FH/ETH, certified technician HF building services engineering or apprenticeship as building services planner EFZ specialising in heating, ventilation or sanitation
Professional Experience: Several years of experience in planning building services systems as well as practical knowledge in BIM-supported planning and coordination processes
BIM Expertise: Profound knowledge in BIM management, BIM coordination, model checking, IFC data exchange and digital planning standards
CAD / BIM Software: Very good knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and ideally experience with AutoCAD, Nova, Navisworks or Solibri
Building Services Engineering: Cross-disciplinary knowledge of HVACSE trades, technical system planning and interdisciplinary specialist planner coordination
Standards and Digitalisation: Knowledge of ISO 19650, relevant Swiss SIA standards as well as experience in developing BIM guidelines, modelling templates and digital workflows
Software and Languages: Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 as well as very good German language skills in spoken and written form
